And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
-Revelation 22:1-2
The story of Scripture begins and ends with trees. We see the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3) and the Tree of Life in the Book of Revelation (Revelation 22). They serve as bookends to the story of God’s dealings with humanity. In a sense then, the journey of walking with God is simply living “between the branches.” It’s the ultimate hope and promise of life and redemption in Christ.
Scripture also tells of another tree in Genesis 3. Adam and Eve were seduced by the evil one to eat of it and through its fruit, death and brokenness entered the world. This brokenness caused humanity to pursue life apart from God and look for satisfaction and life in all the wrong places. The journey of faith then is the journey of coming back to the true tree and the extension of its branches across every sphere of human existence.
Branches Soul Care is about embracing the reality of that brokenness and the beautiful promise of our belovedness. We’re passionate about helping people come back to the one who is the true source of life and restoration in Him. (John 15:1-5) We seek to provide a safe, encouraging place for people to wrestle with the questions of faith, the traumas that we encounter on the way, and walking with Jesus and one another along the way.
Wherever you are on that journey, you are welcome here, as together we travel “between the branches.”
